One of the most exciting and unique pieces of equipment at Studio 300 is our 3D printer, a Makerbot Replicator 2. Instead of printing ink or toner, our Makerbot will print with PLA Filament, a biodegradable plastic.
Though typical 3D printed items are artistic objects, advanced 3D printers already show the potential to print an incredible range of objects from human organs and food to educational models.
The short video below explains more about how a 3D printer works. Read more about Studio 300′s 3D printer as featured on mysuburbanlife.com.
